As many of the industry’s best players were playing in Europe, a number of lesser-knowns took down some big names on US soil. A few standouts from this tournament included Berkey and Kerstetter who both finished out at $30,000 for taking home some first place money.

The “matt berkey net worth” is a poker player who won the March 2018 online poker championship. He was also the winner of the 2017 WSOP Main Event, and has been playing professionally since 2006.

Berkey, Kerstetter Among March Online Poker Champions

Online poker traffic is increasing, and sites are hosting tournaments on a regular basis to lure individuals to participate. PokerStars, partypoker US Network, and WSOP.com are all creating strong tournament series in regulated states each month. 

In March, many online gamers stood out with large victories, including poker pro and instructor Matt Berkey, who won a nice championship. Jamie Kerstetter also won another online WSOP Circuit championship.

Borgata Poker and BetMGM are among the skins that make up the partypoker network. The operator is now accessible in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, but there is no shared player pool. 

Berkey wins the championship after hosting Poker Mania.

Darren Elias (New Jersey), Matt Berkey (Pennsylvania), and Andrew Neeme hosted the site’s March Poker Mania (Michigan). Berkey took down the Main Event and earned $31,250 in the Keystone state. To take the crown, he took out “Hisoka” head on.

Berkey is the creator of the poker coaching site Solve for Why. On the site’s Youtube account, the final table was aired live. With a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000, the event attracted 88 participants.

Jason “tittybumpin2” Welsch of Michigan was also a big winner last week and had an outstanding run. In a single day, he won three events for a total of $5,382.

“S7UDZ88,” a Michigan gamer, also won $31,250 after surviving 92 entries. This player also took home $7,375 for winning Event 19.

“GogoYubari” won $29,330 in the Main Event in New Jersey after defeating 80 other players. 

Also in Pennsylvania, ” Phillytaxguy” won a $109 Half Price event, which was his largest victory to date. 

Online ring races at WSOP.com

WSOP.com continues to host monthly WSOP Circuit tournaments building up to the annual live festival this summer. With a common player pool, the series is being broadcast in the combined New Jersey and Nevada regions.

Separate from Nevada/New Jersey, Pennsylvania conducts a monthly ring circuit. With the debut of WSOP.com in Michigan this week, an Online Circuit series will be held in that state in April. Here are some of the winners from the March Online Circuit. 

Pennsylvania

“Belieber_” won his first ring and $12,435 in the Keystone state after KOing the competitors in the knockout event. 

When he pulled down a good PKO event, “5betchet” also boosted his approach to victory. He won a championship ring and $11,652 in prize money.

When “Schwibbs1” won Event 8 for $9,807, he received his second ring.

Nevada/New Jersey

Some well-known figures from New Jersey and Nevada were among the winners. Jamie Kerstetter has won two consecutive Circuit events in the previous two months.

In a No Limit Hold’em Deep Turbo tournament, she took home $14,232. The poker player and analyst was overjoyed with her recent accomplishment.

  • Event 8 – Mark “Muckyourfom” Rolan – $21,961
  • Event 12 – Michael “Hankdatank” St. John – $16,053
  • “Thank a vet” Miachael Raynor – $19,353 in Event 13
  • Shaun “nyjets23” O’Donnell – $51,300 Main Event

On Sunday, there was a $100,000 rampage.

Ethan “Rampage” Yau, a YouTube poker blogger, dominated the Sunday $100,000 event on March 20. He goes by the moniker “Rampunts” on WSOP.com and has a total of $27,984 in his account.

The Million Dollar Freeroll for the Tournament of Champions has been established.

All 2022 bracelet and ring winners, whether live or online, will get a ticket to a Tournament of Champions event from WSOP.com. The $1 million freeroll tournament will take place in Las Vegas on July 18.

With Michigan WSOP.com players now in the mix, the event will feature a few extra entrants. The structure sheet for the forthcoming freeroll is shown below.
