The new Casinos North Bay has arrived and they are ready to provide their players with the best experience possible. The recently opened casino in Pasco, Washington is a fully automated facility that uses its own proprietary technology called Cascades Cashless Gaming Technology. Cascades Casino North Bay is already outperforming expectations in the area, despite only being open for a month. According to the gaming venue’s management, the new establishment has gotten a lot of positive feedback from guests, who seem to be enjoying its high-end facilities. The ceremonial inauguration of the casino was attended by OLG executives and other delegations this week.
The gaming facility Pinewood Park Drive had its soft opening on March 9, 2022, and since then its slot machines have been at full capacity. The property is operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment and was originally planned to open at the beginning of 2020, but due to the emergence of the unprecedented situation, it was delayed to the start of this year.
Initial Expectations Exceeded
Spokesperson for Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, Rob Mitchell has shared this week that visitation at the North Bay casino has exceeded the company’s wildest dreams. He said that the gaming property is attracting people from all over the province and that there is a great curiosity factor when a new casino launches. He adds that the property is starting to see some regulars as well.
While visiting the casino, OLG executives presented North Bay with a check for CA$111,000, which represents the city’s part of the amenity’s earnings between March 9 and March 31, 2022. The Crown company will give the city a quarterly payment under the revenue sharing agreement in exchange for hosting the casino property in the region, and the money will be invested in the local economy.
According to North Bay Mayor Al McDonald, the city expects to receive between CA$1 million and CA$2 million every year. He said that the city intends to put the gaming proceeds in a reserve until the next council meeting. They will next debate a policy for how the money should be invested in the city in the future.
Ward 11 Councillor Bill Leduc and KED developer Dario Zulich were among the casino’s visitors this week. Both have been vocal in their support for a casino in Greater Sudbury. Mr. Leduc said that he would notify other Sudbury councillors about what the city is losing out on using the information acquired from North Bay.
Increasing Public Awareness
The City of North Bay has launched a new gambling awareness campaign called ‘Think You’ll Win?’ in response to the casino’s opening and the rise in gambling alternatives. The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit and the Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing collaborated on this initiative. It will assist in educating residents about the possible dangers associated with gaming.
Plans for Kenora have been updated.
Last month, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has provided an update on its CA$21 million casino project at Kenora, Ontario. In its statement, the corporation informed that it is currently focused on recovering its business at its existing properties. And as of right now, it has no concrete plans on when it will start the development of the gaming amenity on Ninth Street North in Kenora.
