Danny Wimmer Presents, a casino entertainment and gaming technology company with offices in Las Vegas, has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire Billy Alan Productions, a premier booking agency for Native American casino talent. The acquisition is a significant step for Wimmer, as it will further establish his company in the growing Native American gaming market.
(June 13, 2021) – Danny Wimmer, an independent American festival promoter and producer, has acquired Billy Alan Productions, a leading booking agency for Native American casino talent. Billy Alan Productions has been renamed Billy Alan 2 and is led by President Billy Brill, a highly skilled manager and consultant with over 40 years of successful experience in the entertainment, interactive media and casino booking industries. Brill has been booking national talent for Native American casinos since 1999 and currently represents several casinos in California, Oregon and Mississippi. Joe Moallempour is the National Coordinator for Billy Alan 2 Casino. Both Brill and Moallempur are fully integrated with all DWP departments and talent booking services. Billy Alan 2’s services include booking talent, buying media and working with new and existing Native American casinos to develop entertainment, marketing and advertising strategies. The company has booked a variety of successful Native American bands, as well as Duran Duran, Ringo Starr, Chicago, ZZ Top, Snoop Dogg, Gabriel Iglesias, The Beach Boys and Wynonna, as well as comedians like Jay Leno, Joe Coy, Sebastian Maniscalco, Don Rickles and Paul Rodriguez. By targeting key casino players, or booking and promoting shows to a target audience that considers music and comedy shows to be an important part of casino entertainment, Brill fills a niche that has a significant impact on casino revenue. Brill explains: I like to be an attorney and talent buyer for Native American casinos. My goal is to partner with DWP and use their resources to attract top talent to the casino, offer better ticket prices and ultimately attract a wider audience, including more VIPs, to the casino shows. Danny Hayes, CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents, said: We love the company Billy founded and believe our resources will help him grow the platform. Native American goods are increasingly part of every artist’s itinerary, and it makes sense that DWP is expanding its presence in this area. Mr. Brill is a 41-year veteran of the music and entertainment industry with a diverse background in the industry. After working as a Top 40 DJ in New York (WGMF), Florida (WIVY) and California (KROY) from 1972 to 1976, he continued his career in the record industry, working for promoters Interscope, EMI and MCA Records. At the MCA, Brill has worked with such well-known artists as Elton John, Tom Petty, The Osmonds and Patti LaBelle. Brill has also worked as a music, marketing and promotional consultant for Sony, BMG and EMI. Brill’s notable industry achievements include being named 2017 Independent Talent Buyer of the Year by Global Gaming, ACM Country Talent Buyer of the Year (2012, 2014, 2017), Pollstar Talent Buyer of the Year (2012) and IEBA Talent Buyer of the Year (2014, 2016, 2017).
