Mr. Chand bought his ticket at Shoppers Drug Mart in Nordel Crossing, Surrey, and couldn’t believe his luck when the scanner revealed a cash prize of CA$1,000,000. He intends to use the money to go to Fiji, purchase a new house for his family, and give a part of the proceeds.
The Winner in Edmonton Has Been Announced
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation has already disclosed the name of another Lotto Max winner. Andrew Weninger of Edmonton has won the Lotto Max jackpot in the March 26 draw, making him worth CA$15 million. The winner stated that he was attempting to sleep when his mother woke him up to inform him of the fantastic news. He plans to use the money to travel, purchase a new vehicle, and acquire another dog.
Quebec has also just produced a new lottery millionaire, as someone from the province recently won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth more than CA$11 million. Loto-Québec said that the winner has not yet contacted them and advised all lottery players to verify their tickets thoroughly. As a bonus, the winning numbers were 06, 08, 09, 12, 19, 26, and 43.
