The World Series of Poker is the most prestigious and biggest poker tournament in the world, attracting more than 5,000 players this year. The WSOP is held annually in Las Vegas and this year kicked off on June 16 with the $10,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em Championship. The WSOP also features a $10,000 Main Event, which is the largest annual poker tournament in the world. The WSOP champion receives the title of World Champion and a five-year, $1,000,000 prize.

The World Series of Poker main event kicked off this weekend at the Commerce Casino in Pittsburgh for the second time in a row. The $10,000 buy-in Main Event is one of the most important tournaments in the world for poker players, and as a result, is a very popular attraction to the state of Pennsylvania. This year, the Main event is scheduled to run from February 5 through 16, and will feature over 1,700 players from all over the world.

On Monday, 11th October, the World Series of Poker hit the East Coast again for the first time since 2014 when the Main Event arrived in Atlantic City. The event has been held in the city for the last six years and, this year, players were greeted with a much tamer field.

Following the completion of the World Series of Poker bracelet tournaments in Pennsylvania, the action moves to WSOP.com for the remainder of August. The Keystone Classic is a 21-event series with a $500,000 guarantee that runs from August 22 to August 31.

Players that are physically situated in Pennsylvania will be allowed to participate in tournaments. WSOP.com made its debut in Pennsylvania in July and now gives players even more reasons to join in the fun.
