SCOOP has become the largest U.S. online poker series of 2021 and is another positive sign for the U.S. market. Here are some highlights from each series. word-image-5088

Michigan

The state of Wolverine is a new market for PokerStars that has worked well so far. The inaugural SCOOP attracted more than 40,000 entrants in 120 tournaments. At the end of the series, players received $2.3 million, more than the $2.2 million guarantee. The Main Event had 871 entrants with a total prize pool of $243,880. Stozypokes emerged victorious and took home $41,074. This has been a great series for this Michigan player. Stosi also won the previous Sunday Marathon for $2,650. Another Main Event entry stood out. healybuck2021 won his Main Event entry via a single player freeroll. Healy finished in third place for $20,965. Another highlight for Michigan is that Dublistic has won an impressive four MISCOOP titles.

New Jersey

In the Garden State, the series drew 26,000 participants in 163 tournaments. The total prize pool reached $1.36 million, exceeding the original guarantee of $1.2 million. In the Main Event, two players faced each other at the final table: TrashNinja00 won first prize of $18,183. The tournament drew 391 entrants and generated a prize pool of $109,480. Several players have won multiple titles each, and these players have won four titles each:

  • 09123459
  • Dan AvaGrey Lupo
  • Barney889
  • TopDogCD

Pennsylvania

Isaac Vasquez won the SCOOP title in Pennsylvania. word-image-13834 Of the three states, Pennsylvania players received the largest guarantee increase. The guarantee for the series was $2 million and the price was $2.6 million. More than 47,000 applications were submitted for 41 events. There were 1,015 entrants in the Main Event High with a prize pool of $284,200, which exceeded the $200,000 guarantee. Isaac Kingboss93 Vazquez won this title for $46,410. Earlier this month, he spoke with USPoker about winning his first major online championship. Honestly, it was a great feeling, and just hours before my birthday on the 4th. May to win – almost like it wasn’t real, he said. I was still thinking about that second place finish in Pennsylvania last month. I expected such a result, and the fact that it came with a win in the main event upset me. It’s surreal.
