While it’s fun for Lottery players to check their numbers, they don’t always win. With each draw, players dream of their numbers coming true, but they never do. That’s all about to change for a Simcoe couple who won a $1 million prize in the June 17 Lotto 6/49 draw.
The lucky couple of Simcoe, Ontario won a $191,000 prize after playing the lottery on WLTE-TV in Fort Erie on April 5, 2013.Almost every week, a random Canadian lottery player becomes a multimillionaire simply because he or she was lucky enough to play the lottery. Recently, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced the following lottery millionaires across the country: A couple from Simcoe, Ontario won the jackpot in the latest Lotto 6/49 draw.
Canadians win hundreds of millions of dollars in the national lottery, and the Lotto 6/49 is one of the most popular games in the country. There are two draws per week, one on Wednesday and one on Friday. Players can participate in the draw by purchasing their ticket online or at a local bingo shop.
12. June draw
Ontario recently posted another big bingo win when Margaret and Mark Peters were selected in the Lotto 6/49 draw on the 12th. June was richly rewarded. A pair of Simcoe’s won $9,440,109.40 CAD in a game based on draw. The pair also won C$2 in the same draw with Encore.
When she arrived at the OLG office to pick up her check, Peters said she screamed her lungs out when she saw the winning numbers on the official Crown platform after Monday morning’s drawing. The winners plan to share the money with their families, pay off their children’s mortgage and buy a new car.
Million Dollar Prize B.C. Max
Last month was also an eventful one for a woman in British Columbia: Christel Keller from Hope won the Maxmillions prize in the Lotto Max draw on the 18th. June. The prize is C$1 million, and the winner revealed that her dream of winning the lottery has finally come true and she will now be able to help her family financially.
With C$1 million, Keller wants to pay for her grandson’s education and help her daughter pay for some medical treatments. She also said that she will never have to worry about money again and that she plans to travel a lot in the future. Once safe, she says, her first destination will be Tahiti.
Ontario had some big lottery wins recently when the top prize was awarded in the 22nd District draw. The June Lotto Max race has finally been drawn. After a long wait, the $70 million jackpot was won. Two winning lots were drawn with the numbers 07, 11, 22, 28, 33, 44 and 49. One of the winners is from Toronto and the other lives in British Columbia.
Alberta has also found a new lottery millionaire. The Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced that a resident of the province won $18 million in last week’s Lotto 6/49 draw. The lucky winner will have to find a target for 18.6 million Canadian dollars. The winning numbers are 4, 5, 18, 28, 35 and 42.
