Last week I wrote a blog post on Canadian hospital funding on the eve of Canada’s 150th birthday. I asked if anyone had any information on the pending budget on the Canadian Hospitals Investment Fund. I received a dozen or so replies. Some said nothing is yet known, others that the fund is expected to be announced soon, and others that there is no such fund but that the hospitals will be supported by an increase in the health transfer. The lack of information is concerning.

Why don’t we know anything about the opening of the Comprehensive Healthcare for the Homeless Fund (CHRHF)? In order to find out, we checked out the website of the Department of Health. There is no information on the CHRHF fund. So, we called the office of Health Secretary Esperanza Cabral. The spokeswoman we talked with said: “We are still updating the CHRHF website.”

The Chinese Hotel and Tourism Association (CHRHF) has not yet announced the venues for the 2018 China Hotel and Tourism Forum (CHRFTF) and China Tourism Forum (CTF), which will take place in May. The 2019 China Hotel and Tourism Forum (CHRFTF) will take place at Xishan Lake in Hangzhou, while the 2020 China Tourism Forum (CTF) will be at the same venue.. Currently, the Board of Directors of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame has issued a statement about the collecting of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame’s Classes of 2020 and 2021. Despite recent improvements in limitations around the unusual situation, the university said that it is still unable to give precise dates for the celebrations of both classes.

The entity’s board of directors is worried that there are still some doubts about indoor meetings. Furthermore, there are already some concerns about the feasibility and appropriateness of staging such indoor events. However, the group should provide additional information in the near future.

No official date has been set yet.

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame said it understands that delaying the festivities any further would be upsetting to all of its members and their families. However, the institution promises to keep a careful eye on the situation in order to determine when it is suitable to hold a celebratory event for its inductees.

The organization’s goal, according to the horse racing body, is to provide the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 Inductees the respect they so well deserve. Also, that they are deserving of the same induction experience as past members of the Hall of Fame, and that the honor honors an athlete’s career accomplishment.

When members are given such an honor, the organization thinks they should be joined by their closest friends or family members when they get their ring or trophy. The fact that the annual Induction Gala is utilized to generate money for the organization is another reason for the delay in the ceremony. The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame will be able to pay the expenses of many operations this way.

All monetary contributions to the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame will get a contribution tax receipt since the gala event is legally recognized as a charity. Donations may be made by going to the official website of the organization, canadianhorseracinghalloffame.com, and clicking on the Donate Now button. The Nomination and Election of the Class of 2022 will be announced shortly by the school.

The Burlington Hall of Fame is located in Burlington, Vermont.

Jim Lawson, the CEO of Ontario’s leading horse racing company Woodbine Entertainment, was recently inducted into the Burlington Sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Lawson received the prize in recognition of his contributions to football, hockey, and, of course, horse racing. His hockey career began with the Ottawa 67’s, and he went on to play with the Montreal Canadians in the NHL.

Live Races are Returning

The live harness business has had a tumultuous past 16 months in Ontario, with numerous closures and restarting of operations. Woodbine Entertainment surprised fans in early June by announcing that racing in the province will resume. On June 11, 2021, the company’s Woodbine Mohawk Park was given permission to resume the Standardbred season.
